Hatch Series Registration (1) (1)

The Series, named as a commemoration of the pioneering work of Dr. John Hatch in the areas of faith, health, and community organization, seeks to:

 Provide a forum for participants to engage in diverse streams of intellectual knowledge gained through individuals, communities and institutions that are relevant to the fields of faith and health.

 Create opportunities for open dialogue, story sharing, and innovation between faith and health communities towards the goal of improved quality of life in the communities/populations served.

 Build stronger communities vested in bridging the space between the healing worlds of faith and health.

“The Hatch Lecture” will again engage faith and health leaders in dynamic and thought provoking dialogue reflective of the strength of faithhealth intersections in improving population health and building stronger communities. The keynote lecturer will be Rev. Richard Joyner, Pastor of Conetoe Missionary Baptist Church and a Top 10 CNN Hero. Rev. Joyner founded Conetoe Family Life Center and led the efforts to build a community garden (yielding 50,000 lbs. of food a year) and beekeeping operation.
