Job Opportunity – Virtual Admin Assistant

Position:          Virtual Administrative Assistant 

Reports to:      Executive Director  

Type:                Part Time  

Location:         Virtual 

Compensation: $25/hr.  

The Virtual Administrative Assistant will work with the Care Share Health Alliance staff in conducting the routine support of administrative operations of a statewide non-profit (501c3) with a mission of Collaborating for Health Equity.   

Major Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars 
  • Schedule and coordinate staff, board, and other meetings 
  • Note-taking (staff meetings, board meetings, NC Collaborative on Medicaid Transformation, NC Get Covered meetings and trainings), agenda development, and transcription 
  • Prepare communications such as memos, emails, invoices, reports, and other correspondence  
  • Write and edit documents such as letters, reports, or instructional documents  
  • Assist with maintaining electronic filing systems 
  • Collects and responds to collaboration inquiry requests 

Required & Desirable Skills 

Required Skills 

  • Commitment to advancing health equity and healthy communities 
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required  
  • At least 3 years’ relevant work experience and/or related educational background in administration, non-profit operations  
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Office 365, Teams, and Dropbox (or similar file sharing platform) 
  • Very strong organizational skills with attention to detail  
  • Flexible, able to adjust to changing priorities. 
  • Willingness to learn new skills 

Desirable Skills 

  • Good written and verbal communication skills 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish 
  • Familiar with Zoom, Microsoft Teams and/or other group platforms
